Imagine not waking up to clean water every morning. There's more. These people have to walk at least a mile every morning to find water, and this water isn't even clean. It is mostly dirty, but the people drink it because that is what they have access to. As you know, the charity I am donating to is the Water Project. I will be donating 100% of the proceeds to the water Project. When money is donated, it goes toward getting these people clean, safe water.
What does the Water Project do?
The Water Project supplies water to communities around the world who don't have access to clean water. Spread the word! The more people who know about the Water project, the more people in need can get help.
Who started the Water Project?
In 2006, on his 31st birthday, Scott started the Water Project. He invited a bunch of his friends to a night club for his birthday party. Instead of receiving gifts, he asked them each to bring $20 to start the charity. That night, he raised $15,000.
What motivated Scott to start the Water Project?
One year, Scott decided to serve in Africa for a year. While he was there, for the first time he saw impoverishment, or people in poverty. He saw people drinking dirty water and wanted to help. This is what started the Water Project.
